The Writer and the Throne Review (Reviewer Copy)

Saggilmut is a heavenly realm that has been plagued by feuds between gods for thousands of years. In this book, mythologies clash and gods with opposing agendas have no limits as to what they will do to come out on top. Aaron, the first proclaimed Writer, is charged with the task of traveling the sects and learning the truth of the gods and the war that is reaching its climax. Only one god can win and become Ruler of the Gods, but they must first come out of the Warfare of the Gods alive.      Keep in mind that everyone has their own opinion. This review is only  my opinion , and you may have your own, different one. I would take into consideration what I say, but do not make a decision about the book solely based off of this review. Additionally, the author sent me this book as a free review copy; however, this did not influence my review. This is 100% my honest opinion. Let's begin:     I never really read much related to mythology (n...

How the King of Elfhame Learned to Hate Stories Review

This novel takes a look into Cardan during different points in his life. Readers get to see him before The Cruel Prince, after The Queen of Nothing, and during the timeline in between. It is entirely from Cardan's perspective, giving readers more of an insight into who Cardan truly is.       Keep in mind that everyone has their own opinion. This review is only  my opinion , and you may have your own, different one. I would take into consideration what I say, but do not make a decision about the book solely based off of this review. Let's begin:     This review will be a lot shorter than my normal review because I do not have much to say on it and it is a pretty short book.      I was a tad bit disappointed with this book, but not too much. I think this is more on me putting really high expectations. I felt like there should have been something more- like something was missing. However, I still really really enjoyed th...

Allied Review

Emelina and her sister, Olivia, are both determined to bring peace to Ruina. As their war carried on, though, their ideas of peace began to change. Olivia is focused on hatred and violence, leaving the more diplomatic Em to pick up the pieces. However, now some of the people of Ruina no longer support Olivia. Two sides in Ruina begin to form- Olivia and her supporters, and Em and supporters. The sisters are now in their own war, and only once can come out.      Keep in mind that everyone has their own opinion. This review is only  my opinion , and you may have your own, different one. I would take into consideration what I say, but do not make a decision about the book solely based off of this review. Let's begin:     This was a strong finale to the trilogy! The plot was very good and kept me interested the entire time I was reading. The book had some unexpected twists that I really really enjoyed. I especially loved the main twist with Olivia...

Avenged Review

Emelina has rescued her sister, Olivia, and they escape Lera, promising to restore Ruina. They are still not safe, though, as their past actions catch up to them. Olivia is ruthless and will destroy anyone who goes against her, but Em is more hesitant. Spending time with Casimir has made her see a new side to the war. She believes that Cas will be different than past Lera rulers and that they can reach peace. Olivia thinks that Em's love for Cas is only weakness. Em wants to reach peace, but will she choose love and betray her only family or loyalty?      Keep in mind that everyone has their own opinion. This review is only  my opinion , and you may have your own, different one. I would take into consideration what I say, but do not make a decision about the book solely based off of this review. Let's begin:     One of my favorite aspects of this book was the growing tension between the sisters, I love both sisters as characters (even w...
